Thursday was a calm day. During part of the morning and the afternoon Mrs. McMath and I made cinnamon bread for some people in the church and a few neighbors. Then later in the evening we went to The Personal Growth seminar. In this seminar we learned how not to share our faith, good times to visit people in the hospital and not to be discouraged when people persecute us.
After the class we went out to do some door knocking and visitations. Naomi and I went with a group of 6 other girls. We split up into groups of 2 or 3 and took turns knocking on doors. Since there was an event going on in Santa Fe, not very many people were home. The way door knocking works is when someone answers we tell them we're from Valley Baptist Bible Church. Ask them how they are and hand them a tract, telling them it's something good to read. The tract has the gospel message as well as some info about the church. After that if they are open to talking, we ask them about themselves and converse for a little while. Then we ask if they are interested in spiritual things or if they go to church. Then we ask them if they were to die today, do they know for sure that they would go to heaven, and how they know. This creates a door to share the gospel with them.
After door knocking we all went home and Naomi, Rachel and I watched the rest of 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was really sad, but very good. Then we watched Bell and the Beast. It was ok, I guess. We watched because the actress's name was Summer Naomi Smart. It was a "christian' movie, but they didn't always act like Christians. The message of the movie was: God wants me to be happy, and sorrow in life helps God make me happy. It was a little pathetic. You would think something with Summer Naomi Smart would be a lot better. :)
